Sizzling Bulalo Steak

An appetizing way of preparing beef shanks–slowly tenderized, marinated and seared then served sizzling on a hot plate.

Ingredients:
1 kg bulalo (bone-in beef shank)
2 liters water
1 tbsp liquid seasoning
3 pcs calamansi
1/4 oyster sauce
vegetable oil

Gravy ingredients:
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1/4 cup beef stock
1 cup evaporated milk
1 beef bouillon cube, diluted in a small amt. of water
Gravy procedure:
1. In a bowl, put butter and flour.
2. Slowly pour in the stock, whisking mixture vigorously.
3. Cook until thick and seasoned with diluted beef bouillon cube

Cooking Procedure:
1. Tenderized bulalo in pressure cooker for 30 minutes or until tender, start counting when the water starts to boil.
2. Remove the beef from the broth and marinate with the seasoning and calamansi for atleast thirty minutes.
3. Rub marinated beef in all sides and pan-fry, be sure that beef are brown on all sides.
4. Serve with gravy on the top and a choice of rice or vegetables on the side.
